jimi hendrix
Jimi Hendrix born
November27, 1942–september18, 1970) was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. Hendrix is considered one of the greatest and most influential guitarists in rock music history. After initial success in England, he achieved worldwide fame following his 1967 performance at the Monterey pop festival. Later, Hendrix headlined the iconic 1969woodstock festival.
Jimi Hendrix helped pioneer the technique of guitar feedback with overdriven amplifiers, incorporating into his music what was previously an undesirable sound. He built upon the innovations and influences of blues stylists such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, King, and T-Bone Walker, and derived style from rhythm and blues and soul guitarists Curtis Mayfield, Steve copper, and Cornell Dupree, as well as from traditional jazz. Part of Hendrix's flamboyant stage persona may have been inspired by rock pioneer Little Richard, with whom he toured as part of Richard's back-up band, "The Up setters." Hendrix is also widely thought to be influenced by Pete Townshend of The Who, who performed in London when Hendrix started his career there in 1966. Carlos Santana has also suggested that Hendrix's music may have been influenced by his Native American heritage.
Hendrix strove to combine what he called "earth", a blue, jazz, or funk driven rhythm accompaniment, with "space", the high-pitched physcadelic sounds created by his guitar improvisations. As a record producer, Hendrix also broke new ground in using the recording studio as an extension of his musical ideas; he was one of the first to experiment with stereophonic and phasing effects during recording.
Hendrix was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 1992 and the UK music hall of fame in 2005. His star on the Hollywood Walk of fame (at 6627 Hollywood Blvd.) was dedicated in 1994. In 2006, his debut album, Are You Experienced, was inducted into the United States National Recording Preservation Board's National Recording institution Rolling Stone named Hendrix number 1 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2003.
In the morning of September18, 1970 he was found dead in the basement Samarkand Hotel at 22 Lansdowne Crescent in London. The last person that saw him was his German girlfriend Monika Dannemann. Researchers say he first died in bed after drinking wine and taking nine sleeping pills, and then he choked on his own vomit.

After leaving the military, Hendrix pursued his music, working as a session musician and playing backup for such performers as Little Richard, Sam Cooke, and the Isley Brothers. He also formed a group of his own called Jimmy James and the Blue Flames, which played gigs around New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood. In mid-1966, Hendrix met Chas Chandler, a former member of the Animals, a successful rock group, who became his manager. Chandler convinced Hendrix to go to London where he joined forces with musicians Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell to create The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Released in 1967, the band's first single, “Hey Joe,” was an instant smash in Britain, and soon followed by such other hits as “Purple Haze” and “The Wind Cried Mary.” On tour in Europe to support his first album, Are You Experienced?, Hendrix delighted audiences with his outrageous guitar-playing skills and his innovative, experimental sound. He won over American music fans with his stunning performance at the Monterey International Pop Festival in June 1967, which ended with Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire. Quickly becoming a rock music superstar, Hendrix scored again with his second album, Axis: Bold as Love (1968). His final album as part of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Lady land (1968) was released and featured the hit “All Along the Watchtower,” which was written by Bob Dylan. The band continued to tour until it split up in 1969.
That same year, Hendrix performed at another legendary musical event, the Woodstock Festival. His rock rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” amazed the crowds and demonstrated his considerable talents as a musician. He was also an accomplished songwriter and musical experimenter. Hendrix even had his own recording studio in which he could work with different performers and try out new songs and sounds.
Hendrix tried his luck with another group, forming Band of Gypsies in late 1969 with his army buddy Billy Cox and drummer Buddy Miles. The band never really took off, and Hendrix became working on new album tentatively named First Rays of the New Rising Sun, with Cox and Mitch Mitchell from the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Unfortunately Hendrix did not live to complete the project.
Hendrix died on September 18, 1970, from drug-related complications. While this talented recording artist was only 27 at the time of his passing, Hendrix left his mark on the world of rock music and remains popular to this day.

Hey folks,I'm in Adelaide Australia right now. The rest of Malaysia went real well. The promoters were not sure how much of an audience I had there so they put me in Hard Rock Cafes. The audience was face to face with the stage. We asked the officials if they had proper security and they said "yeah, the people here are real low key". I asked if they were sure and they said "yeah, no problem".All the shows were way oversold, which had people pushing into the stage. All the tables on the floor were literally splinters by the end of the show, the audience was going ballistic (mmmmm... ballistic). It was bamboozling. In Singapore I had to stop the show 3 times because the police were bludgeoning people in the front row. I was surprised that they all knew the words and were singing with me as they were getting trounced. Nobody was hurt, by the way. I talked to the government police afterward and told them that I was very concerned with the safety of the kids, the band, and myself and that they can't be beating people just because they're screaming and having fun. I was surprised by their response; they apologized and said they would have it under control next time and that they didn't mean the kids any harm. And then they blew me (just kidding). If anybody reading this was at any of those Asian, Indonesian and Malaysian concerts, I adore you.We flew into Perth Australia after Malaysia. This was the first time I had been to Oz in 8 or 9 years and the first time in Perth so I wasn't sure how it was gonna go. The first odd thing is that we had an entire day off with no travel. The day off was totally incredible, we went to Rottness Island. It was great. Everyone went on a boat to go explore the bays and snorkel, I rented a bicycle to ride around the island.I came across this beautiful private little beach. The sand was blazing white and the Australian ocean was a crystalline translucent bright blue. Tasted good too. I sat on this exquisite little beach and talked to this extraordinary elderly French woman (about 75). She told me that the island got its name because when they discovered it, it was infested with rat kangaroos (also known as "Quokkas"). Hence the name Rottness Island. These quokkas exist nowhere else in the world except on this little island. She was telling me that they were marsupials just like kangaroos, etc., and the next thing I know, I turn around and here comes one. Very gentle, sort of pathetic looking but endearing at the same time. They are the total cross between a rat and a kangaroo. About the size of a furry cat. They move really slow like they are high on dope and they come right up to you and let you pet them. Very clean etc. When it stands on it's hind legs and eats, it looks like a little tyrannosaurus with fur. But this little old French lady was so sweet. She just kept going on about all these fascinating facts about these quokkas, and then she blew me on the beach (just kidding again!).Anyway, I swam out to the boat and snorkeled with everyone. By the time I swam back to the beach, there was nobody there so I fell asleep in the sun naked. I had very heavy sunblock on every part of my body but down under. When I woke I was covered in gummy sand from all the rolling around I did as I slept, and I had a bright red butt and genitals to match. Sort of the opposite of what everyone else gets when they lay in the sun. I then realized it was 4:15 and the last ferry leaves at 4:30 and it was a 22 minute bike ride to the boat. You should have seen me trying to ride my bike and put my clothes on in a panting frenzy against the wind, ouching from the inappropriate sunburn. Ya see what I go through for my fans?I'll get back to you soon and don't forget, I worship you.
Famouse Guitar Player
THE PEOPLE THAT WERE IN THE LIST OF THE FAMOUSE GUITAR PLAYERS ARE ...........
*Angus Young was born on March 31, 1955 in Glasgow Scotland. Angus’ family moved to Australia after his birth. Angus Young is one of the most famous blues and hard rock guitar players ever. Angus has been the lead guitarist of the notorious Australian hard rock legends AC/DC. Angus Young writes most of the AC/DC songs. Angus Young and his brother Malcolm Young founded AC/DC in 1973. The Angus brothers played in Tantrum, Kentuckee and several other bands, before starting AC/DC.AC/DC are one of the pioneers of heavy and hard rock and they have sold over 100 million copies of their 17 albums worldwide.Angus Young is famous for his extravagant stage appearances; he usually wears High school uniform on stage. Angus Young is well known for his frantic moves on stage.Angus Young plays Gibson SG guitar that became his trademark along with his High school uniform stage outfit. Angus uses Marshal amplifiers. Angus Young is an excellent lead guitarist with unique style, which is an integral part of AC/DC sound. Angus is famous for his extraordinary solos in “The Jack”, “Whola Lotta Rosie”, and many more AC/DC songs.
Eddie van halen

Eddie and brother Alex were born in Holland. At a young age the family immigrated to the United States and settled in Southern California. Both parents loved music, and at the age of seven the brothers were trained in classic piano. But Eddie and Alex wanted to play rock and roll. Eddie soon bought himself a drum set with the money he earned from a paper route. Brother Alex began taking flamenco guitar lessons, but he secretly eyed Eddie's drums. Eddie practiced on his drums and tried to learn the songs of the day, but his job cut into his practice time. While Eddie was working his paper route, Alex would come in and play Eddie's drums. Alex practiced on Eddie's drums so much that he soon became the better drummer. Eddie decided he needed to learn another instrument. The guitar became his instrument of choice, and as they say, the rest is history.
Eddie went out and bought his first guitar for $70. He taught himself to play by listening to records and copying what he heard. Eric Clapton became his main influence, and soon Eddie was able to play every one of Clapton's solos. By the time high school was over, both Eddie and Alex were very good with their instruments, and had been in a few bands. They eventually met David Lee Roth and Michael Anthony, and the four of them formed a band called Mammoth. The name wasn't to be; they soon found out there was already another band billing itself as Mammoth, so they had to find a new name. After kicking around a few ideas, they decided to use the last name of the brothers, and Van Halen was born.
In a club one night, Ted Templeton, a Warner Bros. Records producer, caught Van Halen's act and signed them immediately. Soon their self-titled album debuted, and it has been nothing but success ever since. Powered by Eddie's hot guitar licks and the singing style of David Lee Roth and later Sammy Hagar, Van Halen produced a long list of hit songs and numerous number one hits. Some of their more popular songs include Jump, Right Now, Runnin' With The Devil, Panama, Hot For Teacher, and many more. Their albums have gone multi platinum, and they have established a loyal fan base that will pack any concert venue they play.
Van Halen became a group that styled its own distinct sound, a sound powered by Eddie's unique guitar licks. He played fierce solos and soon became known for tapping, a technique where he would tap the fret board with his playing fingers while making notes with his fingering hand. The tapping would produce numerous quick notes that drove his solos. Eddie Van Halen became a role model for modern guitarists, regardless of their tastes and preferences. His talent and skill were unquestioned, and he demonstrated a dazzling array of techniques, from simple riffs to extended solos filled with intricate fretwork.
With superstardom, Van Halen fell into the trap many rock stars do. The money and fame soon brought a decadent lifestyle. Drinking, women, parties, Van Halen experienced them all. For Eddie, it was the drinking that especially got a hold of him. He soon became a heavy daily drinker. The drinking habit became so bad, that he would perform concerts drunk. He recalls that at one point in his career, he would get so drunk that all during the concert he would stand in one place…… because he was too inebriated to move. He also recalls that during his heavy drinking period he could not remember many of the concerts he performed. He battled his alcoholism for many decades before he got sober.
Eddie married actress Valerie Bertinelli, and wanted to start a family. A desire to be a good role model for his new son Wolfgang, was the catalyst to get clean. Eddie soon enrolled in rehab, and he says he has now been clean and sober since October of 1994. Even though he was now free of the drinking, Eddie would pay for his years of excess. The affects of that drinking may have been the cause for surgery he had to undergo on his right hip, which was replaced because of a degenerative condition that may have been linked to excessive alcohol use.
The second health concern that hit Eddie was a diagnosis of cancer "symptoms" in his mouth, also thought to be a result of his heavy drinking and smoking. Eddie has had a long habit of smoking cigarettes throughout his adult life. The official statement from the M.D. Anderson Cancer in Houston, Texas reads, "He does not have cancer. After visiting with M.D. Anderson doctors, he is planning to begin an outpatient clinical trial to prevent cancer ... He did not have an operation at M.D. Anderson." That statement was actually, inaccurate. The Center said, "He will begin an outpatient clinical trial to prevent cancer. In the clinical trial, Eddie will be able to come and go, and won't be admitted to the hospital. A clinical trial means that whatever treatment he is receiving, it is a protocol under study; not a standard treatment." Although not much information is being released, it is thought that Eddie has tongue cancer. Eddie released a statement saying, "Although it's hard to say when, there's a good chance I will be cancer-free in the near future." Now having essentially admitted that he has cancer, Eddie no doubt will find that his reasons for wishing to keep it private from his many fans were unnecessary. He has a wide following of loyal fans who are genuinely concerned about his situation, and will undoubtedly be extremely supportive of his efforts to overcome cancer.
Side note: The Oral Cancer Foundation applauds Eddie's decision to talk about his cancer. It is only through public awareness, and knowledge of the risk factors, that this disease can be brought down from its high ranking as a killer. When someone of Eddie's celebrity talks openly, his voice will be heard by his millions of fans. Besides being one of rocks elite guitar greats, this makes him an extraordinary individual in a much broader sense.

Olympic Facts
The Olympic FlameThe Olympic flame is a practice continued from the ancient Olympic Games. In Olympia (Greece), a flame was ignited by the sun and then kept burning until the closing of the Olympic Games. The flame first appeared in the modern Olympics at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. The flame itself represents a number of things, including purity and the endeavor for perfection. In 1936, the chairman of the organizing committee for the 1936
Olympic Games, Carl Diem, suggested what is now the modern Olympic Torch relay.

THE expirement
1 The first thing that they wanted to ask so the first question they had is how far the paper air plane was going to land and the expirement that we did is that we made the paper air planes and went outside and saw how far the paper air planes went the first time it was a little disapointed because none of ours went as fast as Mr.Smith's but still mine went far and Leo's went almost by an inch close to mine.
