Elvis Aaron Presly was born on January 8, 1935 and died on August 16, 1977. He died at the age of 42 because he was using drugs. He was born in Memphis, Tennesee. He was a singer and an actor. He played the guitar and the piano. He would record songs in the rock and roll genre. Some of his most famous songs are "Hound Dog" and Jailhouse Bird". Elvis Presly was known all over the world and was soon a big hit. His 'musical influences' came mostly from when he was younger his family went to a church Assembly of god, a pentecostal holiness church.

His firt public performance took place in the year of 1954. His musical 'breakthrough' took place in 1956 only two years after he first started playing. Several top record labels wanted to sign Presly, but instead on November 21, 1955 Parker and Philips negotiated with RCA Victor Records to sign Elvis' contract. He also got 35,000 to go along with that.

On Janurary 27, Elvis' first single with the RCA 'heartbreak hotel' was released it sold over 1 million copies. And then on March 23 his first record was released.

The year was 1925 ... In the area of Mississippi known as the "Delta", a baby was born on September 16 in a small sharecropper's cabin near the town of Itta Bena.In 1947, B. B. King began recording songs under contract with Los Angeles based RPM Records. It is frankly reported by King himself that he has fathered 15 children by 15 women over the course of his life: "About 15 times, a lady has said: 'It's either me or Lucille.' That's why I've had 15 children by 15 women. The boy was named Riley B. King.In an interview with Albert King in 1978, he says of his son, "I call B.B. my baby brother 'cause we're only eighteen years apart. I call him B.B. like everybody else, but his real name is 'Riley.' Now he's got them two B's up front of his name.In 1942 when he was 16 years old, he moved back to Kilmicheal to attend the Elkhorn school and continue singing with his gospel group. The singing group consisted of a five man chorus, including Riley and cousin Birkett, and was led by John Matthews. The new group was called "The Famous St. John's Gospel Singers." Riley accompanied them on guitar when they sang, mostly at churches. Occasionally, they gave live performances which were broadcast on radio station WGRM in Greenwood, Mississippi. At this same time, Riley was also playing the blues on the Indianola street corners on Saturday nights. Blues music was not new to him.Riley had to register for the Military draft in 1944 and was found physically fit for service. Johnson Barrett, not wanting to loose a skilled tractor driver, applied to the draft board on Riley's behalf for an occupational deferment. Barrett also told Riley that getting married would improve his chances of being deferred. Riley married his first wife, Martha Denton, on November 11, 1944, and shortly afterward he received his deferment. When Riley B. King first arrived in Memphis in the summer on 1946, he searched on Beale Street for his cousin Bukka White. HE'S STILL ALIVE COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!<33 thanks to bb king official site
